We all know Aaron Paul from his most memorable performances as Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, as Tobey Marshall in Need for Speed and Eddie Lane in The Path. However, following social media as we do, it becomes apparent pretty soon that there are some notable moments in Aaron’s career that continue to cause people to rush to social media to ask ‘Is that Aaron Paul?’
Here are the five moments that have people double-taking and rushing to IMDb, or Twitter for confirmation on what they think they have just seen.
1. Is that Aaron Paul on The Price is Right?!
Yes! It was the year 2000, and in one of his earliest TV appearances, Aaron Paul, or in this instance using his birth name Aaron Sturtevant did indeed take part in one of prime-times most popular game shows. His enthusiastic energy in meeting legendary host Bob Barker sets this moment out as truly amazing, apparently fuelled on 6 cans of Red Bull prior to recording.
Always one to excel at drama, Aaron got everyone’s support as he reached the Showcase Showdown segment only to lose tragically by going over by only a few dollars – a moment that haunted him for a long time after. Apparently a friend of his actually went on to win big in another recording that same day, to make things worse.
If you love this moment, be sure to check out the James Corden Late Late Show skit that attempted to make things right for Aaron year’s later, when they both broke into the Price is Right studios.

2. Is that Aaron Paul playing a satanist in Criminal Minds?
Yes! It was most definitely a look people! Eye liner and moodiness made this guest appearance stand out and still today, has people talking. His screen time may be limited, he may have found himself being unfairly questioned but it was all about his look and style that makes this particular moment so memorable.

3. Is that Aaron Paul in a Korn music video?
Yes! That is Aaron Paul in the video for Korn’s ‘Thoughtless’ playing a high schooler being bullied by the popular kids, beating him up and tormenting his every move until right at the end Aaron has his moment, and boy what a moment it is to shine! This moment seems to catch a lot of people out, mostly because it was most likely their first look at Aaron Paul, years before Breaking Bad, they just hadn’t realised it until years later when they catch the video for the first time in years.

Aaron Paul spoke about appearing in this video in an interview he did a few years later. He had a friend who worked with the directors, of which Aaron was a big fan so he thought it would be cool to do.

4. Is that Aaron Paul dressed as Jane?
Yes! That is Aaron Paul dressed up as Jane, with Bryan Cranston attempting to look like Skyler. It’s fair to say one gets the look spot on, and the other, needs work. It’s not an exageration to say Aaron Paul looked good, amazing in fact, as Jane.
There is a lovely exchange between Aaron and Bryan discussing their dressing up antics in one of my favourite dvd extras from the final season – it’s worth watching it in full simply because you catch a rare moment of Aaron Paul bluffing Bryan Cranston magnificently about the ending of Breaking Bad, but if you just want to learn about their thoughts on dressing up as their female co-stars fast forward to 3.20

5. Is that Aaron Paul voicing Todd Chavez in Bojack Horseman?
Yes! This one is an odd one but continues to catch a fair number of people out. We have seen a fair few people claim to not make the connection till they are deep into the seasons, other’s thinking he sounds like Aaron Paul, only to then realise it is Aaron Paul.
It’s when people then realise that the guy who played Jesse Pinkman is now playing a character called Todd, when the guy who played Todd in Breaking Bad was called Jesse in real life, that you truly step back and need a moment for your brain to settle down.
Suffice to say whenever I see a ‘I never realised it was Aaron Paul voicing Todd’ posts on social media it breaks my heart. He voiced one of the best characters, in one of the best animated series in recent years and you’re left to wonder just how many people didn’t realise it was Aaron voicing him all that time!
Spread the word, make the world know this very important fact! Long live Todd and his ridiculous ideas!
