Are Jesse Pinkman’s Tattoos Real? During an interview Aaron Paul was asked if Jesse Pinkman’s tattoos were real.
Here’s what our idol replied:
AARON PAUL : False. Thank God. I mean, it’s so aggressive. It’s a Celtic scorpion – I never knew that. When I got here for the pilot, I had no idea what Jesse’s vibe would be. had an idea who the character was, but they asked, “Do you think Jesse would have tattoos?” And I was like, “Probably.” And then we started flipping through these random tattoo books. Usually you think about these things, but we started filming so quickly. I have [the scorpion] and then there’s the clown and that random snake that kinda rocks. Jesse is hardcore you know?
Do you remember where Jesse had tattoos?
Let’s remember:
The first tattoo was always visible, it was on the right hand. As Aaron said in the interview he was a Celtic scorpion, according to research scorpion tattoos can protect the tattooed person against evil spirits. Whoever gets this tattoo feels somehow protected from a potentially disastrous fate.?
The second tattoo was a Chinese dragon on the chest and has the meaning of wisdom, strength, power, protection and wealth. ?
And the third tattoo was a Mexican Skull it is a symbol used in the Day of the Dead rituals in Mexico, representing life and protection against evil spirits.?
Did Jesse take all of this into consideration when choosing his tattoos? ?
Recalling Jesse’s entire trajectory during the series, it seems to me that his tattoos were random choices, maybe he liked these drawings, I think it makes more sense.
But if we take a closer look… Jesse got rid of Tuco, for a time Gustav Fring’s darling, got rid of the police, survived all of Walter White’s schemes, and got rid of the Nazis.
Was his life protected because of his tattoo choices?
I think only Jesse has that answer, but since he went to Alaska we haven’t heard more about his life, we can only hope the tattoos are still working for him.
