The story goes that when a young Aaron Paul first realised that he wanted to be an actor, he had the full support of his family. At 17, Aaron graduated high school a year early and with his mom, set off for LA with some savings and a big, big dream. Before setting off it’s said that a teacher suggested Aaron should have a plan B for when he fails. His mother left Aaron in the car, and went into the school to have her say on said advice.
When we look at these stories that Aaron has shared, you start to see how much support he truly got from his parents. The money Aaron saved came from working endless part time jobs, at one point we understand he had four on the go. His family were not wealthy, so clearly Aaron had to work hard, show the conviction to his dream to afford the move to follow his dream.
He was encouraged to finish school, albeit a year early, it’s easy to assume that finishing his education was paramount to approving his move to LA. – As soon as he finished, his mother went with him to LA to help him settle in. It could have been different, it’s not unusual for parents to push their kids into acting. Aaron had already been to LA a year before and secured a manager, but still he came home from that, and he graduated before pursuing his acting quest.
Social media is a wonderul thing sometimes, and one of the positives is being able to see some of the past interactions from argueably Aaron’s biggest fan, his mother Darla.
From sharing delightful family snaps in the past, to commenting on her son’s posts with such pride, we at AP Fans are her biggest fans. On this Mothering Sunday we want to dedicate this post to someone we don’t have to know, or meet, to know that she’s been a huge positive influence, and has been a major part of the things we love so much in our favourite actor.
We hope Momma Sturtevant has had the best day!
