Being a fan of Aaron Paul is an exciting and rewarding experience, filled with challenges, joys and at times, a touch of frustration. This feeling, shared not just by me but by other fans, leads us to deeply engage with his art and persona. This emotional connection creates intense bonds with our idol, generating an intense sense of connection and belonging.
This connection manifests itself in many ways, including sharing in his joys and success. As fans we have celebrated his accomplishments as if they were our own. It may seem a little extravagant, but when you have a special affection for someone, what else do we wish for that person other than the best? We wish extraordinary things to happen in his life. Therefore, it is not so absurd to celebrate our idol’s victories as if they were our own.
In 2020, I became a fan of Aaron Paul. Upon discovering his art I realized how long it had taken me to appreciate his talent. At this stage he was already a recognized and award-winning actor. As his fan, I haven’t been able to directly witness his journey since the Jesse Pinkman days, nor experience in real time the thrill of seeing him win three Emmy Awards. I didn’t share the emotion of following the premieres of his post-Breaking Bad projects, or witnessing the defining moments of his life until 2020. However, if I had experienced every step of his journey, I would have cheered and applauded each achievement. After all, that’s what people do when someone they admire achieves great heights – they support and rejoice in every success of the person in question.
Celebrating Aaron Paul’s Success
Fortunately the Universe introduced me to the incredible talent of this man that I admire more and more, allowing me to now follow some of the good things that happen in his life. One moment that will forever remain in my memory was Aaron’s appearance on a talk show, in which he shared the arrival of his second son, Ryden. As he spoke, his eyes shone, showing all his emotion in front of thousands of people. While it wasn’t the first time he got emotional on camera, it was the first time I had the privilege of witnessing this moment as it happened.
Other significant moments for me as a fan involve the events related to Dos Hombres. It is widely known that this project is truly special to Aaron Paul, being like “the apple of his eye”. With each event and appearance associated with this, his dedication and joy are evident, and are always fun to follow. Fans who have the opportunity to be in his presence during these events report how incredible he is, highlighting his contagious energy that fills the entire environment.
On January 8, 2024, Aaron Paul updated his Instagram page with an incredible video. I watched the entire video without understanding what he was saying (as some of you know, I don’t speak English), and when it ended, I was both completely agitated and euphoric. I immediately sent a message to my friend @jilbo, asking: “Tell me what he’s talking about, please? I can see him getting a little emotional and talking about the partnership that appeared in Forbes.” She had already seen the video and explained the content to me. I was so happy with what she shared, and so happy for Aaron. “How can we like someone we don’t even know, so much?” That’s what we asked ourselves.
This post addresses exactly that feeling, the genuine joy we experience when celebrating other people’s achievements, and when that person holds a special place in our heart, that joy multiplies.
Seeing Aaron Paul happy, sharing his achievements with joy is charming. As a fan, I long to feel all the emotion that I was unable to experience a few years ago. I dream of seeing his work in the cinema, I dream of witnessing a big award show where he’s a contender, and applauding enthusiastically for all the many achievements that are yet to come for my favorite idol.

The relationship I’m building as an Aaron Paul fan has become increasingly essential to me. There are many aspects of him that inspire me, intensifying my admiration every day. However, being a fan is not always easy, especially for an extremely emotional person like me. I recognize that this connection between fan and idol is often one-sided. Although Aaron is an artist who stands out for giving fans a unique opening, I keep in mind that he has his own life, family and commitments outside of his craft/work.
Maintaining a healthy and respectful perspective when expressing this admiration is essential, especially to preserve our own mental health.
Being a fan of Aaron Paul is a unique journey, an experience I never imagined I would experience. This journey is filled with a multitude of emotions. I would say it’s almost a rollercoaster, but the desire to see beautiful things happening in my idol’s life overcomes all and any butterflies in my stomach!
