Breaking Bad: Collectors Corner – Trading Cards

A complete series set of Breaking Bad Trading Cards, the only ones released, covered all five seasons and were produced by Cryptozoic Entertainment. The base set contains 134 cards, with three chase sets of 9 cards each plus autograph and costume cards, plus a binder.

This set, in trading card circles, sadly came and went without much fanfair and I beleive its simply because when it comes to the autograph cards, they are missing the two main guys. There is no auto card for Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul and that, unfortunately in the collectable cards world, instantly took the shine off what should have been an epic set. I have no idea if there was a dispute/issue or it was purely logistics, but it is a shame about these omissions from a collectable cards ‘completest’ pov.

You can easily pick up the base set of 134 cards from ebay, but beware as the prices are creeping up I’ve noticed – a couple years ago you could get the base set for only $10 but thats certainly changed lately. The more valuable cards are the chase sets, and then obviously the costume and auto cards. There is a lovely selection of auto cards, covering a good selection of actors from the main cast to supporting. The cards themselves are a really nice looking set, really well done and the costume cards that I have are a lovely piece of BrBa history to have (a tiny tiny bit lol)

I have a good number of cards for this set – the binder, the complete base set, all the chase cards and then a handful of costume cards, and finally one autograph card. Maybe this will be a collection I add bits to as money allows, but realistically all the auto and costume cards are pricey ranging between $50-300, and thats without the existance of Cranston and Paul auto cards!
